Notes on Grief is a wonderful work of contemplation, recognition, and expectation, written in the wake of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's cherished dad's passing in the late spring of 2020. As the COVID-19 pandemic seethed all throughout the planet, and kept Adichie and her relatives isolated from each other, her dad surrendered surprisingly to complexities of kidney disappointment.

Developing her unique New Yorker piece, Adichie shares how this misfortune shook her to her center. She expounds on being one of the large numbers of individuals lamenting this year; about the familial and social elements of melancholy and furthermore about the dejection and outrage that are unavoidable in it.

With signature accuracy of language, and sparkling, decimating point of interest on the page- - and never without hints of rich, fair humor Adichie weaves together her own insight of her dad's passing with strings of his biography, from his noteworthy endurance during the Biafran battle, through a long vocation as a measurements teacher, into the times of the pandemic where he'd stay associated with his kids and grandkids over video talk from the family home in Abba, Nigeria.

In the smaller organization of We Should All Be Feminists and Dear Ijeawele, Adichie conveys a diamond of a book that in a general sense associates us to each other as it tests perhaps the most widespread human encounters. Notes on Grief is a book for this seconda work perusers will cherish and share now like never before  but then will demonstrate solid and ageless, a fundamental expansion to Adichie's standard.
